Skipton CC 2024 Dates for your diary
This is the plan for Skipton CC events in 2024. Please keep referring back to the plan
as we go through the year, as new events will be added. Nearer the event date a FB
event will be created with full details ofthe specific event, so you can indicate
whether or not you are attending, but you can use the plan now to start adding
events to your diary.
January
● Spin class – Keighley offer a group session most days, but suggest Thursday @ 6.15 as
this would not clash with other evening rides to start end of January to end of March.
Cost £5.25 and can be booked 7 days ahead.
February
March
● 16/03/24 – Reliability Ride
● 24/03/24 – Emily Chappell, long distance cyclist, winner of Transatlantic race- Otley

● 15/04/24 – Skipton CC on Tour – trip to Girona, see post for details

● 04/05/24 – Away Day – Southern lakes loop
● 05/05/24 – Sportive -Yorkshire Dales Gravel Epic – Gisburn Forest 62 or 95km, for further

● 23-25/05/24 – Social – Skipton beer festival- Skipton Town Hall
● Pendal Forest time trials – alternate Thursdays during the summer, dates awaited.

June
● 02/06/24 – LPD

● 21/06/24 – Summer solstice ride – suggest very early start and plan to ride to Fleetmoss
summit for sunrise and back to Skipton for breakfast. This date is a Friday and the day
after the solstice but thought that a Friday might work better for members.
● 29-30/06/24 – Sportive – Yorkshire Wolds Cycling Challenge- 144 miles over 2 days –

hour ish ride, ending at the Devonshire for drinks and pulled pork sandwiches- partners
